People of the World

Barack Obama today gave America yet another reason for his candidacy - regaining respect in the world. After 9-11, the beacon of hope that is the United States was shattered and nations across the globe were ready, willing, and able to help us because they too believed in freedom, justice, and liberty. Unfortunately, our president squandered this opportunity, disrespecting and disregarding the rest of the planet. We now face the consequences of that fatal decision. My children are less safe in the world today than I was seven years ago. Americans are hated, not just by our enemies, but by our "allies." However, today, Senator Obama is providing hope to our citizens and citizens of the world. Hundreds of thousands filled the streets of Berlin to hear the voice of an American. Today was a clear sign that under an Obama Presidency, we can and will regain the trust and respect of the world, and again stand on moral high ground, providing the global leadership that is so desperately needed.

Did I mention he gave one of his finest speeches yet?
