Palin says thanks for a highway to nowhere

Thanks to Sarah Palin, taxpayers are out $26 million dollars for a freeway to nowhere. This highway was going to connect to the bridge to nowhere. But now that the infamous bridge project is no longer moving forward (no thanks to Palin), the soon-to-be infamous highway to nowhere will connect a community of 50 people to a nice cul-de-sac in no-man's land.

"Thanks, but no thanks" - HARDLY! In fact, despite Congress stripping the bridge to nowhere, she happily took $223 million in federal earmarks for "other needs."

You got to love this - A mayor near the notorious projects said he was considering posting a sign on the road for the rest of the world to see. He said it would read: "Built Under Gov. Sarah Palin, Paid for With Federal Earmarks."
